It takes between 2 and 3 hours if you complete all the waypoints in a row. You can pause whenever you want and pick up where you left off.
Do I need to download an app?▾
No. GeoCats works directly in your mobile browser. All you need is an internet connection and to enable location services.
In which languages is Vic available?▾
Spanish, English, Catalan, French, and Russian. You can switch languages at any time in the settings.
Is there a recommended minimum age?▾
The challenges are designed for players aged 12 and older. Younger children may play if accompanied by an adult; some challenges require reading comprehension and general knowledge.
What happens if I fail a challenge?▾
You can try again as many times as you need. After two failed attempts, optional hints are activated. You don't lose your progress, but your hit streak resets.
How long is the tour?▾
You get 24 hours from activation. The full route takes about 2-3 hours at a relaxed pace, and you can break it up however you like.
How is it different from a free tour?▾
You're not tied to a group or a schedule: start when you want and go at your own pace. Audio tells the story at each stop, plus you can play the cultural challenges.
Do I need headphones?▾
Not essential, but more enjoyable with them. The audio is also transcribed if you prefer to read.
