That's the way to play

  1. 1 Buy and get your code right away. No apps: played from the mobile browser.
  2. 2 The map guides you on foot to each place, with distance, time and warning of "you have arrived".
  3. 3 Watch the site and solve the challenge. GPS checks that you're really there — looking is the only help you need.
  4. 4 Add points, chain combos and end up with your summary and collage of photos to share.

Alone or as a team

The 90 min and 24 h sessions are played individually or in team mode (up to 6 people with one mobile per team) — each mode with its price. Are you more? Several teams, and to compete with each other.

Map: 2D, 3D and Real

Light 2D map by default, 3D camera view following your path and, in selected cities, Real mode: 3D photorealist built with LiDAR data. The game chooses only the best for your mobile.

10 types of challenge

Multiple choice, true/false, free answer, fill in the gap, creative photo, timeline, match, point on the map, choose the right image and texts to read calmly in front of the place. And if you get stuck, each challenge has up to 3 clues.

Everything you need to know about GeoCats

Do I need to download an app?▾

No. GeoCats is played from your mobile browser, without installing anything. Buy your experience, get your access code and enter play.geocats.app to get started.

How long does a game last?▾

It depends on the experience: Street lasts 90 minutes, Tour gives you 24 full hours, and Teambuilding adapts to your needs (normally 2-2.5 hours).

Can I play in a group?▾

Yeah. Each access code is for a team. We recommend teams of 4-6 people. Buy various codes for multiple teams to play in parallel.

What if I lose the connection?▾

The game saves your progress. If you lose coverage for a moment, you go back to where you were as soon as you got a network again.

How does teambuilding work?▾

Contact us with date, number of people and city. Our coordinator will meet with the group, divide it into teams, explain the rules and be available throughout the activity.

Can I customize the questions?▾

Yes! In teambuildings you can add custom questions from your company, welcome logo, choose starting and finishing point, etc.

Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Porto, Dublin, Malaga, Ronda, Girona, Vic and more. We add cities continuously.

Is it child-friendly?▾

Yeah. The challenges are cultural and educational. We recommend from 12 years accompanied by an adult.
